Our mission is to protect and sustainably manage this resource by regulating and promoting the fishing activity of longline vessels, while also advocating for the interests of the entire sector.

A Guarda is a town located in the northwest of Spain, in the province of Pontevedra. Situated right on the Atlantic Ocean, our community has a deep-rooted fishing tradition embedded in our DNA. In the 1990s, the fishermen of the area made a collective decision to embrace the future by making longline fishing our way of life.

We take pride in our heritage and our approach to everything we do. As a result, we have become a source of growth for our region and for all the families that are now part of our organization.

All this effort paid off in July 2020 with the ALIMENTOS DE ESPAÑA award, granted by the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Food.

Surprisingly good!

A different way to eat swordfish. It's one of my favorite fish, and now I can eat it without cooking!
