Isbilya
Extra Virgin Olive Oil Sikitita Variety
$39.99
Unit price perHonestly, it's one of the best (if not the best) oils we've ever had. I know we said the same about our other oil from Isbilya, the Koroneiki variety, but this brand has us completely in love!
This gourmet olive oil is early harvest and cold extracted. Furthermore, it has been bottled in premium glass under an inert atmosphere.
Sourced from select olives in Sevilla and processed using traditional methods, it embodies the essence of Andalusian culinary heritage. Ideal for enhancing a wide range of dishes, from salads to grilled meats, this unfiltered olive oil adds depth and complexity to any recipe.
How to use this olive oil?
It is recommended for more delicate palates looking for more sophisticated flavors, with a touch of spice. Perfect to be used uncooked, both on its own and with a great variety of foods to improve flavor and texture.
What is Sikitita olives?
Sikitita olives is a new variety obtained from the crossbreeding of two olive varieties: Picual and Arbequina. With their small size and high oil content, they are ideal for the extraction of extra virgin olive oil, which can be used in a variety of dishes to enhance their flavor without overpowering them.
The Sikitita variety is prized for producing olive oil with a smooth and fruity flavor, along with a delicate aromatic profile. Additionally, it is known for its low levels of bitterness, making it particularly appealing to those who prefer a milder taste in their olive oil.
Tasting notes
On the nose, it presents a high intensity of fruity aromas with notes of fresh leaves and grass, as well as hints of tomato and a curious combination of aromatic herbs.
