Not your typical caramel almonds

These Caramel Salt Almonds with EVOO by Finca La Rosala are a bit different from what you’d expect. They take the idea of salted caramel, but do it in a cleaner, more balanced way.

They’re made with large Valencia almonds with skin, carefully selected for size and quality. The almonds are washed by hand, coated with a mix of whole cane sugar, sea salt, and a touch of La Vera paprika, then finished with a light layer of extra virgin olive oil instead of butter.

The result is less sweet than traditional caramel nuts, with more focus on the almond itself and a more subtle, well-balanced flavor.

What makes them different

  • Large Valencia almonds (14 mm+), with skin
  • Caramelized with cane sugar, sea salt, and paprika
  • Finished with EVOO instead of butter
  • Hand-roasted and turned every few minutes for even texture
  • Vegan and more balanced than classic caramel snacks

How we usually eat them

They’re great straight out of the jar as a snack or aperitif. Not too sweet, not too salty — easy to keep eating.

They also work surprisingly well in desserts if you want to add a sweet-salty contrast. And with cocktails, they just fit.

Why they’re worth trying

If you like the idea of salted caramel but want something lighter and less sugary, these caramel almonds are a really good option. Different enough to stand out, but still easy to enjoy.

From Ciudad Real, Spain

Finca La Rosala is a family-owned company founded in 2013 in Calzada de Calatrava, in the heart of Castilla-La Mancha, Spain. Its origins blend agricultural heritage with a passion for gastronomy: after inheriting a farm with distinctive reddish soil—giving the name “Rosala”—the family began cultivating pistachios and producing gourmet nuts.

The turning point came when founder Pedro Ciudad learned traditional roasting techniques from a local master whose family had been perfecting this craft for generations. This ancestral knowledge, combined with a modern and creative approach, led to a unique concept: artisanal nuts with innovative flavors and a refined gourmet profile.

Today, Finca La Rosala produces its range in small batches at its own facility, carefully selecting premium-quality ingredients and using only natural components, free from additives or preservatives. Their philosophy merges tradition, innovation, and respect for raw ingredients, resulting in truly distinctive gourmet snacks.

Now present in more than 15 countries and recognized within the gourmet sector, Finca La Rosala has positioned itself as one of the most innovative brands in the world of nuts, transforming a traditional product into a high-end culinary experience.
