Small sardines with a bold Spanish kick

Small Sardines in Spicy Olive Oil by Real Conservera Española are a perfect example of premium Spanish conservas done right. These tender small sardines are carefully selected and preserved in high-quality olive oil with a gentle spicy touch that enhances — never overwhelms — their natural flavor.

Why these sardines stand out

  • Premium small sardines – Selected for their delicate texture and clean flavor.
  • Balanced spicy olive oil – Adds warmth and depth without masking the fish.
  • Hand-packed quality – Carefully prepared following traditional Galician methods.
  • Ready-to-eat gourmet seafood – Perfect straight from the tin.

Flavor and texture

These small sardines are tender, juicy, and beautifully structured. The spicy olive oil brings a gentle heat that builds slowly on the palate, creating a more complex and exciting bite while keeping the elegant character of the fish.

How we enjoy them

We love them on warm toasted bread or as part of a tapas spread with olives and pickled vegetables. They’re also fantastic added to salads or served alongside chilled white wine or vermouth.

Real Conservera Española continues a family saga of over 100 years dedicated to the canning of seafood and fish. Its owners share a dream: to reposition Galician preserves where we believe they should be, at the height of gourmet delicacies. Creating value with our brands and thereby generating a more economically, socially, and environmentally sustainable business. We feel a deep passion for the craft, for the people of the sea, for our estuaries, for our environment, and for our tradition. That's why we continue to do things in the traditional way as we've been taught generation after generation.

Real Conservera Española maintains a permanent commitment to product quality. All products from Real Conservera Española contain exclusively fish and seafood from the Galician estuaries, whether from the Atlantic Ocean or the Cantabrian Sea. We use only the finest fare, caught during the season when they are at their best and at the optimum point for canning. Canning is done by hand, carefully sizing and manually placing each piece in the tin. We maintain forgotten processes such as toasting some fish, and use only top-quality ingredients from the local market for our preparations, cooked like at home by expert hands.

At Real Conservera, success lies with the people, our team. The passion for well-done things is the working methodology of every member of our company who, in the historic town of Cambados, enters the plant every day to care for their product and brand. And it's not an easy job, because they craft with their hands, manually eviscerating, packing each piece one by one, and cooking recipes with toppings or sauces with all the precision and love. They are our "mothers of the sea," because this is a women's business, with over 90% of the team being women, from the shellfish gatherers who provide us with the jewels of the sea, to the General Management, or the leaders of finance, logistics, or production, they call the shots... and a lot.
