Calasparra Rice is undoubtedly a guarantee of quality, ensuring that your paella has the perfect texture and flavor.

What is Calasparra Paella Rice?

Calasparra rice is a type of short-grain rice cultivated in the region of Calasparra, Murcia, Spain. It is known for its exceptional ability to absorb liquids without breaking apart, making it perfect for dishes such as paella, brothy rice dishes, and other traditional stews. Its unique texture and flavor have made it a highly prized ingredient in Spanish and Mediterranean cuisine. Grown in terraced fields and mountainous areas, this rice’s cultivation methods contribute to its exceptional quality.

Why Choose Calasparra Rice?

  • Higher Yield: Thanks to its greater natural dehydration, Calasparra rice absorbs a larger quantity of broth, resulting in more servings per kilogram.
  • Resistance to Clumping: The consistent grouping of starch in the grain with a low level of amylose prevents the rice from clumping together.
  • Natural Product: Irrigated with clean, fresh water, freshly released from reservoirs, ensuring the highest quality.
