Ibérico Taste Receives the “Colmados From Spain” Certification

Ibérico Taste has officially been awarded the "Colmados From Spain" certification by the Trade Commission of the Embassy of Spain in the United States, an organization under the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Business of the Government of Spain.

We have some exciting news to share!

When Milana and I founded Ibérico Taste in 2023, shortly after the birth of our son Patrik, we had a very simple idea in mind: bring the products we grew up enjoying in Spain to people across the United States.

At the time, we weren't thinking about certifications, awards, or business milestones. We simply wanted to build something of our own and make it easier for people across America to enjoy authentic Spanish food without having to settle for imitations or "Spanish-style" alternatives.

What started as a small family business has grown into something much bigger than we ever imagined. Today, we have the privilege of working with artisan producers throughout Spain and serving customers, restaurants, gourmet stores, and specialty retailers across the United States.

That's why we're especially proud to receive the Colmados From Spain certification, a recognition that reflects our commitment to promoting authentic Spanish products and Spanish gastronomy in the American market.

What Is the Colmados From Spain Certification?

Colmados From Spain is an initiative led by the Trade Commission of the Embassy of Spain in the United States, which operates under the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Business of the Government of Spain.

The program recognizes selected retailers that actively promote authentic Spanish food, beverages, and products genuinely made in Spain while helping showcase the richness of Spanish gastronomy and culture abroad.

Its goal is to support businesses that act as ambassadors of Spain's culinary heritage in international markets while maintaining high standards of authenticity, quality, and customer experience.

For us, this recognition is especially meaningful because it reflects exactly what we've been trying to build since day one.

Bringing Authentic Spanish Food to the USA

As a Spaniard living in the United States, sharing our country's food culture has always been something very personal to me.

Every time we introduce a customer to Jamón Ibérico, explain the difference between Serrano and Iberico ham, recommend a great Spanish extra virgin olive oil, or help someone discover gourmet seafood conservas from Galicia, we feel like we're sharing a small piece of Spain.

One of our main goals has always been to make authentic Spanish food more accessible across the United States.
