Ferrer was founded in 1964 in the small town of Sant Llorenç de Morunys by the Ferrer family's grandfather, Josep Ferrer, with the aim of collecting and selling mushrooms. However, due to the great success they were experiencing, they had to expand their range of products in 1968. It wasn't until 1995 that they made a significant leap in their assortment by incorporating sauces based on family recipes.
The production process begins with the careful selection of premium ingredients from trusted local farmers and suppliers.
The Purchasing and R&D team meticulously chooses the raw materials that best suit each Ferrer recipe. The Quality team closely monitors the entire process, ensuring that the product maintains its high standards from the moment it arrives at our facilities until it is manufactured and dispatched. When the ingredients arrive at Ferrer, the Cooking team steps in to ensure that the recipes always have the correct ingredients, follow the proper cooking methods, and undergo the precise heat treatment to guarantee delicious flavors and consistent quality without the need for preservatives. The final steps include labeling and marking the best-before date on the product to provide all necessary information. Finally, the products are dispatched to the point of sale, with the hope that after this long and careful journey, they will reach your home in perfect condition.
