What is Pisto?
"Pisto" is a traditional dish in Spanish cuisine consisting of a mixture of vegetables such as tomato, onion, bell pepper, zucchini, and eggplant, all sautéed in olive oil and seasoned with salt and other spices. It can be translated as "Spanish ratatouille" or simply referred to as "pisto," as there isn't a direct translation.
How to serve Pisto?
You can add it to pasta or mix it with Bonito del Norte, but the most popular way to eat it in Spain is with a fried egg on top and some bread, and served on a terracotta cazuela.
