Authentic Spanish Cheese: Made from 100% Sheep's Milk

Spectacular Semi-Soft Raw Sheep's Milk Cheese by Dehesa Dos Hermanas aged for 3 months. We must admit that it has become our favorite cheese among our selection of Spanish cheeses, so we highly recommend trying it. This cheese is characterized by its surprisingly intense and persistent taste, despite being semi-cured, and its tender yet firm and creamy texture on the palate. As proof of the quality of the ingredients used to make this cheese, the rind is entirely edible, as it is made with olive oil.

How to Serve and Enjoy the Semi-Soft Raw Sheep's Cheese

We recommend serving it with nuts and sweet touches from Spanish honey, membrillo quince paste or gourmet jams.

The Perfect Pairing: Wine and Tapas with Semi-Soft Cheese

Semi-soft sheep cheese pairs beautifully with a variety of wines. Whether you prefer a robust red Rioja or a crisp white Albariño, Dos Hermanas enhances the flavors of your wine selection. Pair it with classic Spanish tapas such as chorizo, almonds, and olives to create an authentic Mediterranean experience.

What Makes Dos Hermanas Semi-Soft Cheese Unique?

The cheese is produced in the farmhouse "Dehesa Dos Hermanas", a farm located on a 1,500-hectare estate in Santa Bárbara de Casa (Huelva), the largest farm in Europe that has been active for several decades. Here, the entire "production cycle" takes place, from planting a seed to producing one of the best sheep cheeses in Andalucia and the world.

Another secret to this outstanding cheese is the meticulous care taken in the production process. They select the final lactation milk from the sheep to carry out a traditional process of rennet, cutting, and pressing. Subsequently, the pressed cheese undergoes a brine bath and then moves to the maturation and aging chamber, where it will remain for an extended period.

Moreover, this farm has been the first sheep farm to obtain the animal welfare certificate from AENOR, thanks to the care and technical innovations of Dehesa Dos Hermanas.

Nutritional Information and Health Benefits of Sheep Cheese

From Huelva, Spain

Dehesa Dos Hermanas is an ecosystem located in the Andévalo region, creating one of the most extraordinary habitats where fauna and flora coexist in an agricultural-livestock-industrial operation that sustains a flock of Lacaune dairy sheep.

With an area of over 1,500 hectares of land, the entire production cycle takes place here. Nature sets the rules, from sowing a seed to producing "one of the best sheep cheeses in Andalusia and, quite possibly, the world."

The estate is located in the Andévalo region, at the foot of the Sierra Pelada and Picos de Aroche. This privileged and self-sufficient environment produces some of the most valued sheep's milk and boasts its greatest treasure, the Dehesa Dos Hermanas cheese, made on the estate with freshly milked raw milk.

Within the rural development of the area, Dehesa Dos Hermanas is an exemplary estate, being the largest generator of jobs and contributing to social cohesion and combating the progressive abandonment of rural populations such as Santa Bárbara de Casa and Cabezas Rubias.

This operation respects the natural environment in which it is located. It is the first operation to obtain the AENOR Animal Welfare certification and aims to be entirely self-sufficient.
